We are off and running with our
2025 TRUXTUN Reunion. It will be held from 16-19 October 2025 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Our host hotel will be the
Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Downtown Marina (707 N Shoreline Blvd). The hotel has granted us “blanket” reservations, meaning we get the same rate for up to THREE days before and THREE days after the reunion. That way you can explore more on your own and be guaranteed a place to stay. Reservations will be made by you by calling the hotel at 1-361-882-1700 ask for Andrea, refer to code UST - OR - Online at the hotel site with the pre-coded link HERE.

On Site Registration Check-in will open on
Thursday October 16th at 10:00 in the Hospitality Room (Padre Room). Lunch and dinner will be on your own.

Friday October 17th up early with breakfast 06:30 in Hospitality, the Padre Room. After breakfast we will depart at 09:00 for a tour of the USS Lexington (Your admission fee is covered). After the Lexington (approx. 11:00) we will re-board the bus to a lunch spot. Currently planning on Howard’s BBQ where you will order from a menu and pay for yourself. After lunch we will again board the bus for a tour of the Marina area and downtown murals. The bus will stop at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History for a “self-guided” tour (Your admission fee is covered). We will depart the museum at 15:00 and resume the tour, returning to the Hotel approx. 16:00. Friday night dinner is on your own.

Saturday October 18th again will start with breakfast at 06:30 in the Padre Room. Saturday’s tours include a bus tour leaving the hotel at 08:30. We will proceed to Windward Beach and World War II Heritage trail tour. Approx 10:15 we will depart the beach and head to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University. Lunch will be at noon at a restaurant called Gallery 41. Once again you will order from a menu and pay as you go. We will return to the hotel about 14:00. There will be a business meeting at 15:00 in the Padre Room. Photos will be taken prior to our main dinner banquet. The meal for the banquet will be: Caesar or tossed salad, Texas sliced brisket, Mesquite rubbed chicken, Potato salad, Beans, Texas toast and Bourbon Pecan Pie. Water, Ice Tea and Coffee provided. There will be a cash bar available as well. We ask that if you like bring a gift from your home state and we will have a gift exchange for all who participate (this is an optional gift, $25 maximum value).

Sunday October 19th we will open the Padre Room at 06:00 for folks to gather for breakfast and final goodbye’s until the next reunion.

TImeline of the Reunion

Hospitality Room (Padre Room) will open at 10:00 on Thursday, October 16th for reunion check-in, refreshments, and will remain open until 21:00. After that it will be open Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 17-18-19 October, at 06:30 daily and remain open until 22:00.

Depart Hotel at 8:30 AM via Motor coach to USS Lexington

Self-guided tour of the USS Lexington (Entry fee covered) https://usslexington.com/tours/self-guided-tours/ They have set up five different routes, covering 100,000 square feet and eleven decks. Explore at your own pace and discover the many stories behind the LEX. Go in any order, but make sure you see it all. Each tour is unique and features interactive displays to take your adventure to a whole new level. If you have a smartphone you can be guided through each route with QR codes on display along the way. HERE is a video about that process.

Depart the USS Lexington at 11:30

Lunch on your own at
Howard’s BBQ at 12:00 - Participants will order from menu and will be responsible for their own individual bill.

Resume tour at 1:15 -
Sightseeing Historical Tour will include the vibrant marina area, critically strategic port, historical homes and buildings, unique public art, and colorful downtown murals - lots of opportunities for taking photos.

Arrive at
Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History at 2:45 for a self-guided tour of the museum (Entry fee covered).

Depart museum at 3:45

Return to Hotel at 4:00

Guided World War II Heritage Trail Tour and more which includes homes along bayfront, Hans Suter Wildlife Refuge, Native American burial ground, Laguna Madre, Windward Beach on Padre Island on the Gulf of Mexico. There should be enough time for a short walk on the beach.

Depart Windward Beach at 10:15 and resume WW II Heritage Trail Tour -
NAS-CC, Texas A&M U-CC, Ocean Drive, Sherrill Memorial Park, Art Center, Seawall, Chaparral Street, Artesian Park, Ritz Theater.

Lunch on your own at 11:30 at
Gallery 41, menu HERE.

Resume tour at 1:15 PM
Upper Broadway, World War I Memorial, and other points of interest connected to World War II.

Return to Hotel at 2:00

Reservations will be made by you by calling the hotel at 1-361-882-1700 ask for Andrea, refer to code UST - OR - Register online at the hotel site with the pre-coded link HERE.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Guests arriving before 4:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. Our Guest Service staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are not available.



Reunion Registration


Registration will be done ONLINE ONLY by clicking the blue Reunion Registration button, but you may pay by mailing a personal check or electronically by VENMO UserID @steverovin after completing the form.

Terms & Conditions: Full payment by personal check or Venmo to Steve Rovin within 30 days of online registration submission. Registration payments are fully refundable until July 18, 2025. No refund after that if you cancel. Should we not get a minimum of 35 persons registered by that date we will have to cancel the reunion and refund any payments made.
